Total Triage
Dear Aegis, Medical Patients,
We wish to share some very exciting news about a significant change to our appointment system that will improve the way you receive care from our surgery.
GP practices across the country are moving to a ‘Modern General Practice’ model to make access to care and treatment easier for patients and help improve patient satisfaction. This is a national NHS project, and all general practices must adopt the system by Oct 2025.
From the 04th of September 2025 we are moving to a Total Triage model.
You can use our practice’s online consultation tool, during our core opening hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–6:30pm) for:
- routine, non-urgent appointment requests
- medication queries
- administrative requests (eg fit notes, test results, letters).
We will get back to you within [48 hour] or sooner.
If our practice is closed and you need urgent help for your physical or mental health – go online to 111.nhs.uk or call 111. They will tell you what to do next. For emergencies such as if have chest pain, severe bleeding, or difficulty breathing, please go to A&E (Accident and Emergency) or call 999.
